  If your ProForm Treadmill doesn't turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet. For extension cords, use a 3-conductor, 14-gauge cord no longer than 5 ft. Also, verify that the key is inserted into the console and check the power switch on the treadmill frame. If the switch is tripped (protruding), wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset.

  If the displays of the console on your ProForm Treadmill aren't functioning correctly, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, with assistance, carefully tip down the Uprights. Check for three #8 x 2" Screws in the bottom of the Belly Pan and remove them if present. Also, check the power switch; if it's tripped, wait five minutes before pressing it back in. Ensure the power cord is plugged in, or try unplugging it, waiting five minutes, and plugging it back in. Finally, remove and reinsert the key, then raise the Uprights.

  To correct the incline on your ProForm Treadmill, hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release both buttons. Next, press the Stop button, followed by either the Incline increase or decrease button.

Why does the walking belt on my ProForm 1010 Zlt slow down when I walk on it?

  If the walking belt of your ProForm Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, it might be overtightened. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, use a hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise by 1/4 of a turn. The belt should be properly tightened when you can lift each edge 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Your treadmill has a high-performance lubricant on the walking belt, so avoid applying silicone spray or other substances unless advised by an authorized service representative.

  If the walking belt of your ProForm Treadmill is off-center or slips, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the belt slips, turn both idler roller screws clockwise 1/4 turn until you can lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform.

  The console on your ProForm Treadmill may be in display demo mode, which is intended for store displays. To disable this mode, press and hold the Stop button for a few seconds.
