7.4 Troubleshooting concerning the e-mail function
GPRS error messages on the screen of the VIBRA

Please find below an overview of communication errors that might be shown by the VIBRA

SIM not inserted
The system cannot detect a SIM card in the VIBRA

- Check whether a SIM card has been placed in the
VIBRA

and the correct position of the SIM in the
VIBRA

, as described in paragraph 7.1.

SIM PIN required.
Use a regular mobile to
disable the PIN code.
Apparently, the SIM card has been locked by a PIN
code.
- Remove the SIM card from the VIBRA
+
, as described
in paragraph 7.1. Place the SIM card in a (GPRS)
mobile phone and use the phone to disable the PIN
code. If necessary, contact your provider. Replace
the SIM card in the VIBRA
+
and retry.

SIM PUK required.
Use a regular mobile
phone to enter the PUK
code.
The SIM card has been locked. You need the PUK
code to unlock the SIM.
- Remove the SIM card from the VIBRA
+
, as described
in paragraph 7.1. Use a mobile phone to enter the
PUK code, as provided your GPRS provider.
Replace the SIM card in the VIBRA
+
and retry with
the option Send E-mail.

GPRS services not
allowed. Contact your
provider to update your
subscription.
The current subscription (GPRS SIM in combination
with data subscription) is not valid for data transfer.
- Contact your provider to change or upgrade your
subscription. It is necessary to obtain a SIM data
card in combination with a GPRS data M2M
(Machine to machine) subscription

Unspecified GPRS error Most probably, the signal strength (-dBm) is not
enough to build up a reliable connection.
- Please move the VIBRA
+
to another location and try
again.
- The GPRS provider might be down. Try again later.

GPRS: Connection
aborted. Check your
username and password.
Proper connection could not be established.
- Please connect the VIBRA
+
to the PC or laptop.
Open the VIBRA PC software. Check the username
and password, as entered in the GPRS Settings.
