TriStar MPPT Voltage Drop Tables
Good system design generally requires large conductor wires that limit voltage drop losses to 2% or
less. The tables below provide wire sizing for a maximum of 2% voltage drop. Longer distance wire
runs may require signicantly larger wire sizes to reduce the voltage drop to an acceptable level.
2% Voltage Drop Chart for 75°C or 90ºC Stranded Copper Wire (Feet), 12 Volt System

) must be terminated at a splicer block located
external to the TriStar MPPT. Use #2 AWG (35 mm

) or smaller wire to connect to the TriStar
MPPT to a splicer block.
