10. SmartCra® System Gauges (oponal)
If equipped, your boat may include SmartCra® System gauges which includes a SmartCra®
tachometer and speedometer mul-gauge system. By pressing the “mode” buon on the gauge,
specic informaon vital to the safe operaon of the vessel can be displayed. Refer to your
SmartCra® gauge owner’s manual for specic informaon on how to get the most out of the mul-
gauge display.
11. Exterior Helm (oponal)
An oponal exterior helm is available which allows for low speed operaon of your boat while in the
cockpit. The exterior helm, located on the forward starboard side of the cockpit consists of a steering
wheel, a hydraulic helm pump, and a mechanical gear shi/throle control unit. In addion, the gear
& throle mechanisms are located in the cockpit bilge, and a helm selector switch is located at the
main helm.
Operaon
At the main helm (located inside the cabin) there is a helm selector switch located on the starboard
side, under the engine control unit. The helm selector switch mechanically “locks out” the engine
control unit to make sure that you can only control the engine from one helm. The gear & throle
mechanisms are located in the cockpit bilge.
Helm Control Transfer
To switch control from the main helm to the exterior helm, pull out and rotate the handle clockwise
90 degrees unl it locks into posion. You will now have control of the engine at the exterior helm. To
return control back to the main helm, pull out and rotate the handle counter-clockwise 90 degrees
unl it locks into posion.
The steering system is independent of the helm selector switch and will operate at all mes. DO NOT
TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT THE HELM THAT DOES NOT HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THE BOAT!
Hydraulic Steering
The exterior helm comes with an addional steering helm, steering wheel, and steering hoses that
connects to the base steering system. The operaon of the system is similar, where when you turn
