Regulating system and protection
Thecompressorisstartedandstoppedautomaticallybyapressureswitch(PS).A
pressuregauge(PI)indicatesthepressure.Atemperatureswitch(TSHH)protectsthe
compressor element from too high temperatures.
Asafetyvalve(108)protectsthecompressorelementagainsttoohighpressure.
Refrigerant dryer
Operation
Therefrigerantdryerremovesmoisturefromthecompressedairbycoolingitdownto
nearfreezingtemperature.Thewaterisremovedviaanautomaticdrain.
Compressed air circuit
Compressed air enters heat exchanger (1) and is cooled by the outgoing, cold, dried air.
Waterintheincomingairstartstocondense.Theairthenowsthroughtheevaporator
heat exchanger (2) where the refrigerant evaporates, causing the compressed air to be
cooled further to close to the evaporating temperature of the refrigerant. More water
intheaircondenses.Thecoldairthenowsthroughwaterseparator(3),wherethe
condensateisseparatedfromtheair.Thecondensateisautomaticallydrainedbythe
electroniccondensatedrain(9).
Thecold,driedairowsthroughheatexchanger(1)whereitiswarmedupbythe
incoming air.
