Measuring DC/AC Current
1. Disconnect power from the circuit and discharge all capacitors.
2. Rotate the function dial to mA/A .
3. Press SELECT to select DC or AC. appears for AC current measurement.
4. Break the circuit and connect the black test lead to one of the two connection points.
5. Plug the red test lead into + 10A MAX.Tomeasurecurrentlessthan400mA,plugthe
red test lead to +V.Ω.mA jack.DoNOTmeasurecurrentgreaterthan10A.
6. Connect the red test lead to the connection point on the broken circuit.
7. Power the circuit and read the results.
nNote:
• The+V.Ω.mA jackisisfuse-protected.Ifthemetercannotmeasurein40/400mA
ranges,checkandreplacethefuse.
• Ifthecurrent’spolarityisnegative,– appears before the value.
