Thecochannelneighborinterferencemitigationoptionworksasfollows:
Splittimeslots:TBS1isconfiguredtosplitthetimeslotsintheframebetweenitandbetween
its“cochannelneighbor(inourcase,withthreefrequencies,itswithTBS4)

resultforthefirstcochannelneighborpairisthatTBS1transmitsonhalfofthetime
slots,andTBS4transmitsontheotherhalf.SeeFigure 411.
TMU1isinstructedtoreceivethosetimeslotsthatwereassignedtoTBS1,andignore
others.
Noticethatinourexample,TBS1andTBS7areassignedthesametimeslots.Thisis
notaproblembecauseTBS1andTBS7aresofarawayfromeachotherthattheir
mutualsignalsdonotinterfere.
Repeatforallcochannelneighbors:ThisconfigurationisepeatedwithTBS2vs.TBS5,again
withTBS3vs.TBS6,andevenwithTBS7vs.TBS4,andsoondowntheline.
