andthedirectioninwhichthevesselwillturnontothetrackline.
4.Ifitissafeforthevesseltoturnontothenewcourse,press
TRACK.
Theautopilotturnsyourvesselontothenewcoursewiththe
displayshowingtheheadingrequiredforthecorrecttrack.

Crosstrackerror
Crosstrackerror(XTE)isthedistancebetweenthecurrentposition
andaplannedtrackline.
Thereareanumberofreasonswhyyoumayhaveacrosstrack
error(XTE),forexample:
•Pressingthetrackbuttonatapositionsomedistancefromthe
route.
•Coursechangetoavoidanobstacle.
•Waypointarrivalundercertainconditions.
Ifthecrosstrackerrorisgreaterthan0.3nm,theSmartPilotwill
soundtheLargeCrossTrackErrorwarningandshowwhetheryou
aretotheport(Pt)orstarboard(Stb)oftheplannedtrack.
