StandbyandsleepmodesforWi-Fi
connections
Theradarscannerhas2modeswhichmayinitially
preventyoufromsuccessfullypairingtheradartoan
MFDviaWi-Fi,intheeventthattheWi-Ficonnection
betweenthe2devicesislost.Thesemodesarepart
ofthescanner’snormaloperation,butit’simportant
tounderstandhowthesemodescanpotentially
impactthepairingprocess.
•Sleepmode—IftheconnectiontotheMFDislost
whilethescannerisinStandbymode,thescanner
willswitchtoSleepmodewithin30minutes.When
theconnectiontotheMFDisrestored,return
thescannertoStandbymodeusingthePower
upRadaroptionontheMFD’sShortcutscreen,
accessiblebymomentarilypressingtheMFD’s
Powerbutton.
•Standbymode—IftheconnectiontotheMFD
islostwhilethescannerisinTransmitmode,
thescannerwillswitchtoStandbymodewithin
5seconds.WhentheconnectiontotheMFDis
restored,returnthescannertoTransmitmode
usingtheRadar:TxoptionontheMFD’sShortcut
screen.

RetainyourWi-Fipasscode
ToconnecttotheRadarusingWi-Fi(wireless),you

BoththeSSIDandPasscodeareprovidedonthe
serialnumberlabelontheundersideoftheunit,
andonspareserialnumberlabelssuppliedinthe
box.Youmaywishtomakeaseparatenoteof
thisinformationandkeepinasecurelocation.You
shouldalsokeeptheRadarscannerpackagingina
safeplaceforfuturereference.
