8.1Maintenance
Onceayear:
1.Power-offtheRadar.
2.Removeoneoftheantenna-securingboltsand
associatedwashers.
3.Cleantheboltandwashers.
4.Ensurethatthepassagetothe"breather"from
thesideoftheunitisclearofsealantorpaint,
orotherobstacles.Formoreinformationonthe
"breather",referto:6.1Mountingpre-requisite:
"breather"holes
5.Replacetheboltandassociatedwashers.
6.Repeatsteps1to5forallantenna-securing
bolts.
7.Tightenallantenna-securingboltstoatorque
of15Nm(133ftlbf).
Periodically,carryouttheseothermaintenance
tasks,withtheRadarpoweredoff:
•Ensuretheantennaisrmlyattachedtothe
mountingsurface.
•Checkthatanyconnectedcablesareingood
conditionandsecurelyattached.
•Examineallcablesforsignsofchang,cutsor
otherdamage.

8.2Unitcleaninginstructions
Theunitdoesnotrequireregularcleaning.However,
ifyounditnecessarytocleantheunit,pleasefollow
thestepsbelow:
1.Ensurepowerisswitchedoff.
2.Wipeunitcleanwithadampcloth.
3.Ifnecessary,useamilddetergentsolutionto
removegreasemarks.
