Dirtordebrisblockingthemicrophone
onthefistmicorR aymichandset.
CheckthemicrophoneonthefistmicorRaymictoensure
thatthemicrophoneportisclearandnotblocked.Clean
ifnecessary.
Incorrectchanneltypeinuse .
EnsureyouareusingonlySimplexchannelsfortesting,
ifcommunicatingwithanothervessel.Forexample,
channels6,8,9,10,13,67,72,or73.
Insufficienttransmissionpower .
Whencommunicatingwithvesselsatadistance,ensure
theradioissettotransmitat25Wpower.Pressthe HI
/LObuttononthefistmicortheRaymichandsetand
ensurethatthe25Wsymbolisdisplayed.

EnsureyouareusingonlySimplexchannelsfortesting,
ifcommunicatingwithanothervessel.Forexample,
channels6,8,9,10,13,67,72,or73.
Incorrectvolumeorsquelchlevel.
1.Firstly ,verifythatnoiseisaudiblefromthespeakers,
bysettingtheSquelchleveltozero.T odothis,
pressthe
Vol/SqbuttonafewtimesuntilSquelchis
displayed.Thenadjusttheleveltozero.
2.Ifthereisnonoisefromthespeaker,tryadjustingthe
volume.T odothis,pressthe Vol/Sqbuttonafew
timesuntilVolumeisdisplayed.Thenadjustthelevel
asrequired.
Note:Volumecontroloneachhandsetinthesystem
andtheradiounitsthemselvesisindependent.
3.Ifaudio/noisecanbeheard,pressthe Vol/Sqbutton
afewtimesuntilSquelchisdisplayed.Thenadjust
thesquelchleveluntilthenoisestops.
4.Ifnoaudio/noiseisheardfromthespeakerafter
completingtheabovesteps,contactProductSupport
forfurtherguidance.
