4 Connection
Connect the RS-485 signal line for master/slave operation on the controllers' circuit boards. Only a specialist (qualified electrician) is
authorised to complete the connection which must be realised in accordance with national and location regulations.
Proceed as follows:
1. Isolate the devices from the power supply.
2. Secure the devices against unintentional reactivation.
3. Verify the de-energised state.
For connecting the RS-485 network, use only the following screened cables:
• Y(ST)Y 2x2x0,6; alternative Y(ST)Y 2x2x0,8.
• Maximum conductor length 1000 metres.
Connect as follows:
• Connect the screened cable at the circuit board plug connection of the operating unit.
• Use the DIP switch to activate the terminal resistance.
