TYPICAL SATELLITE
TV
If installed, the satellite
television option features
viewing hundreds of tele-
vision channels using the
salon TV. Basically, the sig-
nal is transmittted through
an antenna system installed
on the hardtop which features a satellite tracking system
that automatically fi nds the satellite for crystal-clear tele-
vision reception.
System Components-Antenna
The antenna is small yet powerful. It has a diameter of
37cm but operates to levels of other 45cm units. The
antenna uses modern technology to quickly acquire and
track the correct satellite, switch between satellites, and
send signals to the interface box. Internal gyros allow the
antenna to track the satellite at all times, even with the
vessel on the move!
Interface Box-Controller
The interface box supplies power to the antenna system
and delivers satellite TV signals to the satellite receiver.
This component is also used to set-up the LCD display.
Television Receiver
The Dish network receiver has been chosen because of
its compatibilty with the KVH components. This unit re-
ceives HD (high defi nition) signals from 3 DISH network
satellites. The antenna then switches between these 3 sat-
ellites as needed as you change channels using the Bose
master remote control.
Television
The salon television delivers true high defi nition recep-
tion and is multi-functional with other entertainment
components.
The satellite television operation is user friendly. Refer
to the quick reference cards to activate the satellite func-
tions. Use the Bose master remote control to change channels when
in the satelllite mode.
Note: If the optional 2nd satellite television system is installed the
master stateroom will have separate satellite television capability us-
ing the 2nd Bose system master remote control.
This will enable both the salon and master stateroom the
ability to receive and view television channels indepen-
dently from each other.
