LED Indication Description
EIA-232 Status
Flickers Normal operation; flashes to indicate transmit or
receive operations.
Flashes with the Status LED
(once per second)
Baud error.
Continuous rapid flashes
(Six flashes/second)
Self-check failure (normal flashing lasts three seconds
during the self-check at start-up).
MS/TP-Net Status (EIA-485)
Continuous rapid flashing Normal EIA-485 communications (on if in possession of
the token).
On continuous The unit is holding the network token, no EIA-485
communication.
Flashes with the Status LED
(once per second)
Baud error, or the A- and B+ network wires are
crossed.
AUX-Net Status (EIA-485)
Continuous rapid flashes Normal EIA-485 communications (on if in possession of
the token).
On continuous The unit is holding the network token (no EIA-485
communication).
Flashes with the Status LED
(once per second)
Baud error, or the A- and B+ network wires are
crossed.
AUX-Net configured as I/O-net
Rapid flash Normal communications to all configured MPPs.
Off No MPPs configured, or wiring problem.

One or more configured MPP expansion modules are
not communicating.
Ethernet TX
Flashes Transmitting on Ethernet.
Ethernet Link
On Ethernet connection to a valid switch/hub.
