IGURE 47: BACNET ETHERNET NETWORK SETUP GROUP
A BACnet Ethernet network refers to the ISO 8802.3 (IEEE 802.3) method of Ethernet
communication still used by some third-party devices. BACnet Ethernet networks should
only be enabled if IEEE 802.3 devices must connect to the network. Only one device per
network should be MSet as a router between BACnet Ethernet and B/IP networks.

IGURE 48: MODBUS TCP NETWORK SETUP GROUP
By selecting the appropriate field, the MACH-Pro(Web)Com controller can be configured
as a master or as a slave, or both, using Modbus-TCP protocol. For master configuration,
the Poll Period field of slave devices defaults to five seconds but can be modified. The
Reply Time-out field is used to set the allowable delay in receiving a response from slave
devices before initiating a communication failure warning.
EIA-485 NETWORK WIRING
The Reliable Controls MACH-System can be networked in a variety of ways. For a detailed
networking analysis, please see the Networking for the Reliable Controls MACH-System
document, available at www.reliablecontrols.com.
EIA-485 NETWORK WIRING
The MS/TP-Net and AUX-Net ports both utilize EIA-485 communications for all of their
protocol options. The requirements for a functional EIA-485 network are described below.
The MACH-Pro(Web)Com EIA-485 removable network connectors are located mid-way
along the left side of the device.
