1 Using certified communication cable with an ideal Characteristic Impedance of 108,
18–22 AWG (0.82–0.33 mm
2
) twisted-pair low-capacitance (below 25 pF/ft.),
connect one conductor to the A terminal and the other to the B terminal of the
controller.
2 Daisy-chain the network cable as detailed in Figure 50 (avoid star and stub
connections).
3 Ground the shielding in one place only and join inter-networked shields together
using a wire nut (marrette). Each network should only have the shield grounded in
a single location.
