Interpreting the display
c) Mileage before service/maintenance
Mileage remaining before next service.
There are several scenarios:
• remaining mileage less than 1,000 miles (1,500 km) or next service
scheduled within two months. The “Service! Change oil” message is
displayed.
• mileage before service equal to 0 miles/km or date of service reached. The
“service soon” message is displayed when the mileage before service display
is selected, along with the symbol and warning light.
Reinitialisation of the display after scheduled service as part of maintenance
programme
The service/maintenance mileage should only be reinitialised when a service
complying with the recommendations in the warranty and servicing booklet
has been performed.
If you decide to change the oil at more frequent intervals, do not reinitialise
this information after every oil change. This will prevent the replacement
intervals of all parts scheduled in the maintenance programme being exceeded.
To reset the mileage before service, press and hold one of the display reset
buttons for approximately 10 seconds until the display shows the mileage
before service permanently.
