9. Commissioning
First insert batteries in the basis station. Shortly after this (within 1 minute), insert the enclosed special
rechargeable batteries in the outdoor sensor.
Proceed as follows:
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the basis station and insert three type AA/Mignon batteries with correct
polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
• Close the battery compartment again.
Alternatively, the basis station can also be operated via a suitable mains adapter (not enclosed, can be
ordered separately). The batteries then serve as back-up in case of power outage.

switched on and a brief signal sound is emitted. The display lighting goes out again.
• Thedisplayshowstherstmeasuredvalues(indoortemperature,indoorhumidity,barometricpressure).
If only chaotic characters appear in the display, take out the batteries for a few seconds and insert them
again.
• The basis station will now scan for the outdoor sensor signal for 3 minutes.
Important!
Do not move the basis station and outdoor sensor and do not push any button. If you push a button at the
basis station, scanning for the outdoor sensor is interrupted!
• Now insert the enclosed special rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment of the temperature/humidity
sensor in the right polarity. The LED (23) lights up for 6 seconds and goes out again.
If the LED (23) does not light up, check its polarity. It is also possible that the rechargeable batteries are

door temperature, outdoor humidity, etc.).
• The outdoor sensor now scans for the DCF signal for a few minutes.
The DCF receiver is installed in the housing of the temperature/humidity sensor. This leads to much less
interference in DCF reception than in other weather stations.
Observe:
If you have not installed the outdoor sensor assembled in chapter 8 with the sensors in the outdoor area
yet, but it is still within a building, there may be reception problems (DCF time and date are not displayed
on the basis station).
