12. Battery/Rechargeable Battery Change
a) Basis Station

to the indoor temperature " ". Exchange the batteries for new ones. The measured data remain saved and will
not be lost.
If the measuring interval is set very short, however, it is possible that some measurements cannot be saved
properly due to the scan for the outdoor sensor.
This may also lead to mistakes in evaluation by the PC software.
Proceed as described in chapter 9 to replace the batteries in the basis station.
b) Outdoor Sensor
The outdoor sensor is operated with 2 special rechargeable batteries (nominal voltage 1.5 V per rechargeable battery)
that are charged via a solar module integrated in the outdoor sensor. These rechargeable batteries have a very long
service life as long as they are not deep-discharged.
Thebrightnessofacloudydayisusuallyenoughtochargetherechargeablebatteriessufcientlytoprovideenough
energy for daily operation. However, you should install the outdoor sensor so that the solar module cannot be covered
by buildings or trees/bushes.
Iftherechargeablebatteriesareat,the"
" icon will be displayed next to the outdoor temperature.
Important!
The outdoor sensor can only be operated with the enclosed special rechargeable batteries (nominal volt-
age 1.5 V). If these rechargeable batteries are deep-discharged or otherwise rendered useless, you can

sories/spare part.
Never put conventional non-rechargeable batteries into the outdoor sensor; also never use any recharge-
able batteries with a nominal voltage of 1.2 V!
If the basis station then no longer displays any data measured by the outdoor sensor, proceed as described in chapter
9(rstinsertbatteriesinthebasisstationthenthetwospecialrechargeablebatteriesintheoutdoorsensor).
Alternatively, proceed as described in chapter 10. c), see Setting function "REREGISTER TRANSMITTER".
