4. Repeat until adjusted properly, and
tighten the lock nut (1) to secure the
adjustment bolt (2) into position.
Check that the power supply and outlet
used is in accordance with your miter
saw. Have a look at the rating plate of the
motor or the rating on the miter saw. Any
changes should always be carried out by a
qualied electrician.
USING AN EXTENSION LEAD
The use of any extension lead will cause
some loss of power. To keep this to a
minimum and to prevent overheating and
motor burn-out, ask advice from a qualied
electrician to determine the minimum wire
size of the extension lead. If the power cable
is broken, repair service is available at your
nearest service center.
NOTE: We highly recommend that you bolt
this miter saw securely to a work bench to
gain the maximum stability of your machine.
Ensure that the machine is always xed to
a bench whenever possible.
1. Locate and mark the four bolt holes on
the bench.
2. Drill the bench with an Ø10 mm drill bit.
3. Bolt the miter saw on to the bench with
bolts, washers and nuts. Note that
these fasteners are not supplied with
the machine.
Connecting to the Power Supply
WARNING! Avoid contact with the
terminals on the plug when installing
(removing) the plug to (from) the power
supply outlet. Contact will cause a severe
electrical shock.
Mounting the Tool
MITER ANGLE ADJUSTMENT (FIG. 9)
The miter saw scale can be easily read
showing miter angles from 0° to 47° to the
left and the right. The most common angle
cut setting slots have positive stops (1),
permitting fast adjustments to the desired
position. Follow the process below for
quickest and most accurate adjustments.
1. Unlock the table by turning the miter
handle (2) counterclockwise.
2. Move the table while pressing up the
positive stop locking lever (3) and
grasp the miter hangle (2) to align
the indicator to the desired degree
measurement.
3. If the desired angle is one of the nine
positive stops (1), release the positive
stop locking lever (3), making sure
the lever snaps into position, and then
secure by turning the miter handle (2)
clockwise.
NOTE: Positive stops are provided at
0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6° and 45°.
4. If the miter angle desired is not one of
the nine positive stops, simply lock the
table into position by turning the miter
handle in the clockwise direction.
MITER SCALE INDICATOR (FIG. 10)
1. Remove the fence (1) by loosening the
four fence locking bolts.
2. Loosen the four xing screws to remove
the table insert (2).
3. Loosen the screw (4) that holds the
indicator (3) with a screwdriver.
4. Adjust the indicator (3) to the 0° mark
and retighten the screw (4).
5. Replace the table insert (2) and the
fence (1). Tighten them.
SETTING CUTTING DEPTH (FIG. 11)
The depth of cut can be preset for even and
repetitive shallow cuts.
1. Lower the blade as far as possible.
2. Loosen the lock nut (1) and turn the
adjustment bolt (2) in or out to adjust
the cutting depth.
3. Rotate the blade manually to check
for contact.
Operating the Tool
WARNING! Never connect the plug to the
power source outlet until all installations
and adjustments are completed and you
have read and understood the safety and
operational instructions.
