NOTE: Be careful not to damage the plastic Heat ex-
changer elbow in front of the orice block when remov-
ing the blower assembly.
HOW TO REMOVE COMPONENTS
BLOWER
1. Remove fan control wiring harness (Connector “D”)
and gas control motor harness (Connecto “J”) from
the control board. Remove wire holder from the brac-
er bar and the wire tie as shown below.
2. Remove solenoid valve wiring connecting to gas ori-
ce block.
3. Remove heat exchanger bracket located top center
of water heater.
4. Remove the gas orice block by removing the seven
black screws holding it in place.
NOTE: After removing the gas orice block, secure four
(4) gaskets in a safe location to avoid loss.
5. Remove the two screws securing the fan assembly.
6. Remove fan assembly according to the following
graphic.
