Situation
Check Items
Solution
UPS fails to
provide batter
y
backup or its
back up tim
e is
shorter than its
intended
perform
ance.
If the back
up time
remains non-
satisfactor
y after 8
hours of chargi
ng,
please contact
your local deal
er
for battery
replacement.
UPS is norm
al
but no Output to
load
Check if
all
power codes are
properly
connected.
If problem per
sist,
consult your loca
l
dealer for
technical
assistance.
The UPS
switches to
battery m
ode
then back
to
Utility mode,
when connected
device is turne
d
on. Or, the UPS
switches back
and forth
between batter
y
and Utilit
y.
1.
If any power
strip is
connected
to the UPS.
2.
Verify if there
is any dam
age
to the utilit
y
W
all
Receptacle or
if the cable
cord plug is
faulty.
1.
Do not use
power strip.
2.
Replace the
wall
receptacle/cable
cord plug.
Strange noise
and smell
Immediatel
y shut
down the whole
System.
Disconnect the
power from
the
UPS and call f
or
service.
UPS is unable t
o
provide back
up
power source
Check that the
battery
connectors are
fully engaged.
Allow the batter
y
to recharge if the
batter is weak
. If
problem
persist
after rechargin
g,
replace the
battery. If problem
persist, consu
lt
your local deal
er,
Rittal or custom
er
service for
technical
assistance.

uminated,
the error code is shown in the LCD
display. Check the error code. I
f
there is no Error Code s
hown in the
Display, you can retrieve the Code
by push the “OFF” butto
n for not
more than 2 seconds.
