The
Copy
‘function
of
the
DDR-30
is
useful
for
when
you
want
to
use
a
drum
sound
which
is
located
in
a
different
Memory
area.
For
instance,
if
the
DDR-30
is
in
the
Internal
Memory
mode,
but
you
want
a
drum
sound
on
the
Memory
Cartridge
for
making
a
Drum
Set
combination,
copy
the
sound
you
want
to
use
from
the
Cartridge
to
the
Internal
memory.
OPERATION

Call
the
Memory
area
(internal,
Cartridge
A
or
B)
which
contains
the
drum
sound
you
want
to
use,
then
call
the
relevant
drum
sound.

Push
the
Copy
Button
(D.
The
Display
will
respond
as
shown
below,
and
the
DDR-30
is
now
in
the
Copy
mode.

the

right
of
the
Display

Cartridge
memory
is
selected

set
the
Protect
Switch
on
the
Memory
Cartridge
to
the
OFF
position.

Copy
Button

When
the
copy
is
successfully
done,
the
Display
returns
to
that
of
the
step
(1).
Return
the
Protect
Switch
to
the
ON
position.

If
you
by
mistake
push
the
Copy
Button
(D,
or
wish
to
cancell
the
Copy
mode
while
in
copy-
ing,
press
any
of
the
Edit
Buttons
(Voice/Pitch/
Equalizer/Gate).
This
Copy
function
is
available
within
the
same
Memory
area.
For
example,
if
you
wish
to
edit
a
drum
sound
and
keep
both
the
original
sound
and
the
edited
one,
initially
copy
the
original
sound,
which
makes
two
of
the
same
sounds
in
memory.
Then
edit
and
write
the
sound.
In
this
way,
the
original
sound
is
retained
intact,
the
step
G)
is
not
necessary,
but
if
the
Cartridge
memory
is
in
use,
be
sure
to
move
the
position
of
the
Protect
Switch
as
required.
