MIDI
Connectors

IN,

OUT
and
MIDI
THRU.
For

Setting
MIDI
Receive
Channel
When
controlling
the
DDR-30
by
an
external
MIDI
device
(e.g.
example
setups
a,
b
and
c),
it
is
re-
quired
to
match
the
DDR-30's
MIDI
receive
chan-
nel
to
the
transmit
channel
of
the
external
device.

The
indicator
of
the
MID!
button
lights
up.

the
Forward

shown
in
the
Display.
At
the
right
of
the
Display,
the
current
receive
channel
is
shown.

numbers,
rotate
the
Alpha
Dial

the
Display
shows
the
number
you
want.
16
channel
numbers
1
to
16
are
available
for
re-
ceive
channels.
Rotating
the
dial
clockwise
for-
wards
a
number
and
counterclockwise
backs
up
one.

you
wish
to
leave
the
MIDI
Setting
mode,
press
the
MIDI
Button
@.
Now,
the
indicator
of
the
button
goes
out,
and
the
display
is
returned
to
the
usual
indication.

The
channel
number
set
here
is
the
receive
channel.
The
DDR-30
can
receive
the
messages
which
are
sent
on
the
same
channel
as
this,
ignoring
any
other
messages.
When
the
mes-
sages
are
received,
the
MIDI
Message
Indicator
@
will
light
up.

you
wish
to
go
on
other
MID!
settings,
e.g.
set-
ting
a
transmit
channel,
OMNI
ON/OFF,
etc,
do
not
push
the
MIDI
Button.
