Step 4: Assembling the Media Take-up Unit
1. Attach the arms.
Procedure
1. Temporarily tighten the bolts on the left stand as seen from the front of the printer.
Tighten the bolts in the holes on the side of the stand until you can see approximately 5 mm
(0.2 in.) of their threads (A).
2. Attach the left arm to the temporarily tightened bolts, and then slide this arm to the right.
Each arm can only be used on the left (A) or right (B) side. Attach them on the correct sides.
MEMO
3. By hand, tighten the temporarily tightened bolts until there is no gap between the left arm and the
stand.
Hold the pieces together so there is no gap between the left arm and stand when tightening the bolts.
IMPORTANT
4. Make sure the protrusions on the stand leg (A) are in the center of the holes on the arm (B).
