3.5 General Safety Instructions
The following instructions provide an overview of how to use the product
safely. This general overview is supplemented by the safety instructions in
the detailed descriptions of the various sections.
Always remember the possibility of danger when operating machines.
Always use the prescribed personal protective equipment.
The condition of the product must meet the local safety regulations and the
local fire fighting regulations. Ensure that the product is ready for action at
all times.
In case of contact with dangerous chemicals, for instance dry powder, obey
material safety data sheet and information given by the manufacturer.
Dry Powder and foam compound can be dangerous to the environment.
► Do not dispose dry powder and foam compound into waters or sewers.
Foam compound and dry powder lead to corrosion.
► After each operation clean and remove all extinguishing agent residue
from the product.
For safety reasons, make sure that adequate ventilation is available while
inspecting or servicing the water or foam compound tank. We strongly rec-
ommend supervision of the person working inside the tank to avoid person-
al injury.
Pay attention to the operation and service manual from additional products
and of the chassis manufacturer.
If faults cannot be solved or if repairs cannot be carried out by special
trained personnel, immediately contact Rosenbauer International AG or
your nearest Rosenbauer representative.
