3.4 Training and qualifications
Improper operation due to lack of qualification can cause serious accidents
and failure in success of the task. Safe use is only possible if the product is
operated and maintained exclusively by specially trained personnel.
Only ongoing practise and training by experienced fire fighting personnel
will ensure safe use. The various operation procedures must be practised
at regular intervals.
An individual, once-only instruction and training is insufficient!
The vehicle driver must hold a current driving licence for the appropriate ve-
hicle class.
Before use the personnel must be made familiar with how to use the prod-
uct.
The operator is responsible for defining authorities, responsibility and for
supervising the personnel as well as for providing adequate training and
practise in compliance with all current regulations.
Even during operation ensure that persons without specialist skills are nev-
er allowed to operate the product.
The personnel must have the physical and the mental aptitude. Minors and
persons with no fire fighting training must not operate the product.
Modification and changes at the product, fire fighting superstructure and
built-in equipment maybe carried out only with written permission of
Rosenbauer and by the manufacturers authorised person.
