FA ROTEX HeatPumpSolarUnit - Part 2 - 05/2009
Circulation pump is being
excessively noisy while run-
ning
Air in the water circuit • Bleed the entire water circuit.
Noises caused by vibrations.
• Check Indoor Module (RKHB), its components and covers to
make sure they are attached correctly.
Bearings damage in the circulation pump • Reduce speed of pump, replace circulation pump.
Water pressure at pump inlet too low.
• Check on pressure gauge whether there is sufficient water
pressure >0.3 bar.
• Check that the pressure gauge is working correctly.
• Check that the expansion tank is not defective and that the
primary pressure has been set correctly (see Chapter4.8.4
"Filling the storage charging circuit of the heat pump").
Safety pressure relief valve
is leaking or always open.
Expansion tank is defective. • Replace expansion tank.
Water quantity or water pressure in the system is too
high.
• Check water pressure at pressure gauge (must be below the
maximum pressure given) and if necessary, release some water
until the pressure is in the mid-range.
Safety pressure relief valve is stuck.
• Check safety pressure relief valve and if necessary, replace it.
– Turn the red knob on the safety pressure relief valve counter-
clockwise. If you can hear a rattling noise, the safety pressure
relief valve needs replacing.
– Close the inlet and discharge stop valve if water is continuously
escaping.
