Testing Diodes and Continuity

For
in-circuit test, turn circuit power off and discharge all
high-voltage
capacitors through an appropriate resistance load.
Note – Use the diode test to check if the semiconductor junction is good or bad.
The meter sends a current through the semiconductor junction to measure the
voltage drop across the junction. A good junction drops between 0.4 V to 0.9 V.
