• SelectZones:Clickoneachcheckmarkboxtoincludeitinthegroup.Zones
thatareincludedinthegroupwillbeswitchedtotheselectedsourceand
volumepropertiessetinthissectionwhenthegroupbecomesactive.DoNot
Disturbcanbeenabledadhocasnecessaryevenifthedesiredzoneispart
ofanactivegroupandwillallowtemporaryomissionfromthegroup’ssource
andvolumesettingchanges.
• UngroupingAction:Thecurrentstateofazone(e.g.sourceselectionand
volumelevel)issavedtointernalmemorywhenagroupisactivated,
thereforewhenthegroupisdisabledthesesettingscanberecalledor
ignoredwhenrestoringazonetoitspre-groupingoperatingstate.The
optionsareasfollows:
Original:Recallsandappliesthepre-groupactivationstate(source
andvolumesettings)ofeachzonewithinthegroupwhenitisdisabled
(ungrouped).ZonesthatareassignedtoanactivegroupbutaresettoDoNot
Disturbmodewillnotbeaectedwhenthatgroupisactivatedordeactivated.
Continue:Thisoptionwillkeepthecurrentsourceandvolumesettingsthat
wereactivewhenthegroupwasdeactivated.Thismeansthatzonesettings
arenotsavedintomemorywhenthegroupisactivated,andoncethezone
isdeactivated(ungrouped)allzoneswillcontinuewithwhicheversourceand
volumesettingswerelastactivewiththegroup,howevereachzonewillrevert
todefaultfunctionalitywherebytheycanchangetheirsourceandvolume
levelswithoutaectinganyotherzone.
• ZoneVolumeAdjustments:Thereare2prevailingmethodsofaecting
volumelevelsinunisonacrosszoneswhentheyaregrouped,andbothare
availablehere:
Absolute:Thismethodofuniedvolumecontrolwillseteachzonetothe
samesetlevel(0to100)whenagroupisactivated.Volumeadjustmentsto
thegroupwillaectallzonesequallyandinunison.Pleasenotethatinthis
mode,ifaparticularzoneisregularlysettoalowerorhighervolumelevel
thanothersduetoazone’saectualsize,thismethodofvolumecontrolmay
beundesirableasthebalanceofsoundacrossallgroupedzoneswillbeequal
inpowerandmaybeperceivedsofter/louderinonezoneversusanother.In
thiscase,itwouldbemoreappropriatetousetheRelativemode.
