5. When disassembling the pump, match mark, tag or otherwise identify all parts, and provide
separate containers for small parts. Refer to the sectional drawing of the pump included in
SECTION TEN - PARTS INFORMATION for the correct identification of the parts.
6. Disconnect seal water lines (if used). Remove oiler piping on oil lube pumps.
AXIAL (NON-COUPLING) BEARING HOUSING
7. Remove the hex bolts that secure the internal axial bearing cover to the axial bearing
housing.
8. Remove the hex bolts that secure the external axial bearing housing cover to the axial
bearing housing.
9. Remove the external axial bearing housing cover.
10. Remove the axial oil ring.
11. Remove the hex bolts that secure the axial bearing housing to the case.
12. Remove the axial bearing housing.
AXIAL (NON-COUPLING SIDE) BEARINGS
13. Unbend the tab of the axial lock washer that locks into the groove of the axial bearing lock
nut.
14. Remove the axial bearing lock nut.
15. Remove the axial bearing lock washer.
16. Remove the axial bearing sleeve.
17. Remove the second axial bearing.
18. Remove the first axial bearing.
19. Remove the internal axial bearing housing cover.
RADIAL (COUPLING SIDE) BEARING HOUSING
20. Remove the hex bolts that secure the external radial bearing housing cover to the radial
bearing housing.
21. Remove the hex bolts that secure the internal radial bearing housing cover to the radial
bearing housing.
22. Remove the coupling nut.
23. Remove the external radial bearing housing cover.
