J Line Pump
Horizontal Double Suction Centrifugal Pump – API 610 Process Pump
55 V1.032818
CASE
45. Remove the rotor from the case and place it in a secure structure that allows a safe
disassembly.
46. Remove the socket set screws that fix the radial case wear ring to the case.
47. Remove the radial case wear ring.
ROTOR
48. Remove the non-coupling side (axial) impeller wear ring.
49. Remove the coupling side (radial) impeller wear ring
50. Remove the non-coupling side (axial) impeller nut.
51. Remove the coupling side (radial) impeller nut.
52. Remove the impeller from the shaft.
53. Remove the impeller key from the shaft.
NOTE: Before removing the impeller from the shaft, measure and record the distance from the shaft’s
coupling (radial) side to the impeller’s hub to ensure a correct positioning during the reassembly
process. Also mark in some way the impeller to indicate its rotation.
8.1.2 JD Line Pump Disassembly
1. Stop the pump. See SECTION 7.5 – STOPPING.
2. Drain all possible fluids from the pump case and power frames.
3. Disconnect any auxiliary piping and wiring that could interfere with disassembly.
4. Disconnect the driver-to-pump coupling and remove coupling spacer.
5. When disassembling the pump, match mark, tag or otherwise identify all parts, and provide
separate containers for small parts. Refer to the sectional drawing of the pump included in
SECTION TEN – PARTS INFORMATION for the correct identification of the parts.
6. Disconnect seal water lines (if used). Remove oiler piping on oil lube pumps.
AXIAL (NON-COUPLING SIDE) BEARING HOUSING
7. Remove the hex bolts that secure the external axial bearing housing cover to the axial
bearing housing.
