ROTOR
46. Remove the rotor assembly from the case and place it on a structure that allows a safe
disassembly.
47. Remove the axial case wear ring
48. Remove the axial impeller wear ring.
49. Remove the radial case wear ring.
50. Remove the radial impeller wear ring.
51. Remove the axial impeller nut.
52. Remove the radial impeller nut.
53. Remove the impeller from the shaft.
54. Remove the impeller key from the shaft.
NOTE: Before removing the impeller from the shaft, measure and record the distance from the shaft’s
coupling (radial) side to the impeller’s hub to ensure a correct positioning during the reassembly
process. Also mark in some way the impeller to indicate its rotation.
8.2 INSPECTION AND CLEANING
1. Thoroughly clean all parts with kerosene or equivalent and dry all parts with compressed air
or a clean, lint free cloth.
2. Inspect all components for corrosion, erosion, pitting, and scoring. If required, replace with
Ruhrpumpen O.E.M. genuine replacement parts.
a. Visual check all individual parts for any damage.
b. Check the casing for wear.
c. Check the impeller for wear.
d. Check the radial clearance for wear.
e. Check the antifriction bearings.
f. Check all auxiliary piping.
g. Check for transmission elements of the coupling.
