How to fix a Ryobi RCS5133CB that will not start?
- RRachel BarnettAug 10, 2025
If your Ryobi Saw engine won't start, there are several possible reasons. First, the spark plug could be cracked or damaged, in that case replace it with a new one. Another potential cause is a flooded engine. To fix this, turn the ignition switch off and remove the spark plug. Move the choke lever to the run position and pull the starter grip 15 to 20 times to clear excess fuel. Clean and reinstall the spark plug. Also set the ignition switch to the "on" position, push and fully release the primer bulb 10 times, and pull the starter grip three times with the choke lever all the way in. If it still doesn't start, move the choke lever to the full-choke position and repeat the normal starting procedure. You can also try repeating the procedure with a new spark plug.
