Magazine Cleaning
Magazines must be free of excess paraffin before they are
loaded with cassettes. A dishwasher using a heated cycle
can be used or alternatively the cleaning cycle of an
overnight processor such as the Tissue-Tek
®
VIP
®
.
Output Door Inspections and
Cleaning
Output doors must be periodically inspected for deformed
spring clips (Figure 5-H). Do not use a door with any
deformed springs; contact Sakura to have it replaced.

Splash Guard Cleaning
Use the scraper to clean accumulated paraffin on splash
guard (Figure 5-J) during the cool down period when the
Cleaning Request message (Figure 5-I) appears or
depending on the accumulation of paraffin which could
prevent efficient gripper/stager traveling.
CAUTION: When cleaning splash guard be careful not
to bend any base mold posts.
NOTE: The default setting for the maximum number of
cassettes is 10,000.

Optional: Touch Screen, External
Keyboard, and Mouse Cleaning
Touch screen, keyboards, and other peripherals must be
free of excess paraffin to ensure consistent operation.
Remove excess paraffin by using the scraper and use
surface cleaners such as Windex
or Formula 409
. Use
of dust covers is recommended.
