Gripper Arms Cleaning Procedure
The instrument will prompt the operator to clean the
gripper arms once a week (Figure 5-N).

Cleaning the gripper arms should be performed during the
cool down period. Use dry foam swabs (Product code
#8050) or dry lint-free cloths such as Kimwipes
®
to remove
the accumulated paraffin on gripper arms as shown in
Figures 5-O & 5-P.
CAUTION: Do not use cotton Q-tips or cotton cloth to
clean the gripper arms. Lint left from cleaning may
interfere with the sensors.

After cleaning the gripper, close the front door to allow the
instrument to resume operation. After closing the front
door acknowledge message box on screen to continue
with the cycle (Figure 5-L).
NOTE: Do not load magazines when 4 hours warm up
timer is on screen. Before loading the magazines please
make sure the timer is NOT on screen (either override the
timer or wait 4 hours for the timer to go off). The paraffin
inside the delivery tubes may still be solidified and the
instrument will not be ready for robotic system movement.
