Fume Control
Xylene fumes are absorbed by a carbon filtration
system (Figure 1-G). The treated air is then force-vented
through the exhaust outlet. The two activated carbon
cartridges are located in the unloading area behind the 12-
position unloading unit. An external port (OD: 38 mm or 75
mm), an optional accessory, is available so the instrument
can be vented to an outside source. It is recommended
that the carbon filters be replaced after two weeks of
continuous use.
Power Switch
The instrument power is turned ON and OFF by
pressing the power switch (Figure 1-H) located on the
right front of the instrument on the control panel. The
power switch also acts as an emergency stop switch.
