Required ECR Program Settings
Consult with your local dealer for programming your terminal.
Device Programming
Device Setting
1. Go to the Program Mode → Device → Device Setting; Select EFT from the device list to assign
the Datacap IPTran-LT or new style PDC device to the appropriate serial port.
2. Add a NEW device if no EFT device already exists.
3. Select DATACAP for the DEVICE MODEL choice; press OK.
4. In the GENERAL settings, verify the:
• Device Model is DATACAP and
• Communication Type is SERIAL
5. Set/verify the SERIAL settings for:
• COM PORT (where the Datacap device is connected)
• BAUD RATE = 19200
• DATA BITS = 8
• PARITY = NONE
• STOP BIT = 1
• FLOW CONTROL = NONE
These settings are the same for both, the IPTran-LT and the new style PDC.
Note: When a TranServer with new style PDC’s is connected to the terminals, the PDC’s are to be
identified as DATACAP for the device model in the Device Settings.
