System Requirements
The minimum system requirements for the SATO CUPS Driver for Mac OS X are:
 Mac with Mac OS X with CUPS 1.5 or higher
 At least one supported model of SATO printer that can connect to the Mac

- CUPS creates a
queue to keep track
of the current status
of the printer
- Filters (which include
printer drivers and
port monitors) and
backends are used
to convert job files to
a printable format
and send that data
to the printer itself.
- Communicate with
printers using LAN,
USB, LPT or RS232
- Bluetooth
communication not
yet supported.
- The complexities
of configuration
and Printer
language
commands are
hidden from users
- User will see the
printer
configuration for
various models of
SATO printers.
