AMBIENT CONDITIONS
The ambient working conditions of the machine must follow these indications: ideal temperature: +27°C External Humidity: no higher than
70%.
To allow the showcase to function at its best, the ideal location is thecoolest point in the room, far from sources of heat such
as radiators, stoves, and direct exposure to sunlight. To allow ade- quate ventilation of the refrigerating unit, do not place it too
close to walls, windows or curtains.
The showcase must not be taken above 1000 metres or to tropical climes because in this case special measures will be necessary (call the
manufacturer). Ambient conditions other than those indicated can cause serious damage to the machine and especially to the electrical equipment.
Positioning the machine in rooms that do not correspond to these indica- tions forfeits warranty for the parts to be replaced.
SAFETY RULES -GENERAL WARNINGS
The warnings given in this technical manual have been drawn up for your safety and that of others: you are therefore obliged to observe and
have all the specied rules carefully observed.
It is very important this instructions booklet be carefully conserved by the purchaser for any future reference and, in the case of selling the
appliance, it must be handed over to the new user so he can get to
know the product’s operating and safety rules.
The refrigerated showcases must not be used by children under the age of 8 and by people with limited physical, sensory or mental
abilities. Children must not play with the showcase and must be supervised if they come close to the apparatus. The personnel who
use the showcase must ve appropriately instructed and must be made aware of the danger elements associated with use thereof. The
cleaning and maintenanceoftheshowcasemustbecarriedoutbytheuserorbycompetent personnel entrusted with this task.
Any modications to the electrical system that are necessary for the installation of the “SCAIOLA” apparatus must be carried out
exclusively by competent personne. These showcases have been man- ufactured to guarantee a saving of energy, with a rigorous
choice of materials and nishings making any technical service fast and simple, thus guaranteeing the utmost safety and proper
functioning. The refrigerating gas used meets the European standards.
• For the proper preservation of more delicate products that have no protection the display time must not exceed 3 DAYS.
• Avoid putting products on display that contain acid or alkaline substances, they could corrode the paintwork protecting the evaporator.
• Switch the showcase on a few hours before putting products inside to check that everything is working properly.
Use the braking system on the wheels after positioning.
• Maximum load on the glass shelves 20 kg. each shelf
• Maximum load on the racks 40 kg. each rack
Testing: The entire machine is sent to the customer tted for installation after passing the tests envisaged by the manufacturer, in com-
pliance with current laws.
WARRANTY RULES:
SCAIOLA s.r.l guarantees the showcasein the following manners and for the following periods:
• The duration of warranty is 12 months, excluding labour and travelling expenses and runs from the date of shipment of the goods or the
date of the invoice.
• The warranty includes exclusively replacement of parts that turn out to be imperfect for material or manufacturing defects, at the unques

tionable judgement of the manufacturer.
• The customer loses all right to warranty in the event of any tampering or repairs made by technicians not expressly and regularly autho

rized by us; these include technicians of our original customer who has assured to us that they have a good after-sales service.
THERE IS NOT WARRANTY:
• For damage caused during transportation, even if sold carriage forward the goods travel at the purchaser’s risk and the seller shall not
be liable for any shortages or breakages.
• For trouble caused by the user’s carelessness.
• If the instructions given in our Technical Manual have not been complied with.
• For damage to the products on display.
• The warranty is not transferable, therefore we only consider ourselves
under an obligation vis-à-vis our direct customer the invoice is made out to.
REQUESTS FOR SPARE PARTS:
The customer must send the part presumed to be defective back to our plant and, after ascertaining the defect, we shall see to sending a
new part in replacement. If the spare part is sent sooner, it shall be regularly charged for and only on receiving the defective part will we
see to the relative reimbursement. All freight is to be paid by the customer.
Any complaints about the quality of the products must reach the Seller within 30 days of receiving the goods, specifying:
• type of machine, serial number, year of installation - defects found - exact address of the place where the machine is installed.
Controls:
Scaiola offers after-sales service for a period of 3 years, for whatever type of overhaul or detailed check, if the products are delivered free
to the Scaiola factory as mutually agreed beforehand.
This assistance does not apply to: normal wear and tear, product tempered with by third parties or damaged (e.g. in shipping), poor main

tenance by the user without respecting the Technical Manual provided.
Requests for our technical personnel: only requests made in writing shall be taken into consideration.
In the event of dispute the Court of Reggio Emilia shall have sole jurisdiction and the italian law in force is applied.
RESPONSIBILITY :
SCAIOLA S.r.l. is not responsible, in any case, for operating problems or general malfunctions caused by unauthorized use of the
showcase or by work and/or modications carried out by external persons not authorized by SCAIOLA S.r.l.
