Danger identication
Liqueed gas / extremely ammable / risk of explosive atmospheres
First aid measure
Ecological information: There is no known damage to the environment caused by this product.
FIRST AID MEASURE IN CASE OF CONTACT: Inhalation - Eye - Ingestion - Skin
In high concentration may cause asphyxia. Symptoms may include loss of mobility /or knowledge. The victims cannot realize the impending asphyxia
In low concentration can have narcotic effect. Symptoms may include vertigo, headache, nausea, and loss of coordination. Move the victim to the
uncontaminated area while wearing the breathing apparatus. Keep the patient relaxed and warm. Call a doctor.
Proceed to articial respiration in case of stop breathing.
SKIN: In case of liquid leakage wash with water for at least 15 minutes.
EYE: Wash eyes immediately with water for at least 15 minutes
INGESTION: is not considered a potential route of exposure.
Only experienced and properly trained personnel must handle gases under pressure.
The product must be handled in accordance with good safety and hygiene practices. Use only specic equipment,
suitable for the product, pressure and temperature of use. If in doubt about please contact the supplier.
Take precautions against electrostatic discharges. Remove air from the system before introducing gas.
Keep away from ignition sources (including static charges). Do not smoke while handling the product.
Assess the risks of potential explosive atmospheres and the need to use explosion-proof equipment.
Evaluate the need to use only non-sparking tools.
Ensure that the entire gas distribution system has been (or is regularly) tested for leaks before use.
CAUTION!
Always disconnect the unit from the power supply before doing any work.
High Temperature Hazard: This symbol indicates the existence of a hot surface hazard (symbol found on the stainless steel tank).
• Never overturn the showcase.
• Never touch or grip the plug or socket with wet hands.
• Never leave the showcase in direct sunlight to avoid damaging the paintwork as much as possible.
• Do not handle the machine if the water inside the tank has reached temperature.
• Never place food directly on the tank.
IF THE SHOWCASE STAYS IN STORAGE FOR A LONG PERIOD (FOR MORE THAN ABOUT 2 MONTHS) BEFORE IT IS DELIVERED TO
THE USER, IT IS IMPORTANT TO MAKE A GENERAL CHECK AND SWITCH ON THE SHOWCASE FOR A FEW HOURS.
DURING STORAGE KEEP THE SHOWCASE IN A DRY PLACE.
KEEP THE CONDENSER OF THE REFRIGERATING SYSTEM CLEAN.
- DO NOT POSITION THE MACHINE ON TILTED SURFACES, IN UNSTABLE CONDITIONS, OR ON UNLEVEL GROUND, HOLLOWS, PITS, ETC.
- DO NOT POSITION THE MACHINE IN PLACES EXPOSED TO EXPLOSION.
REMEMBER THAT AS THE MOTORIS ELECTRICAL IT MUST NOT BE CLEANED WITH WATER OR STEAM MACHINERY TO AVOID
SHORT-CIRCUITING - AS THEY ARE NOT COMPLETELY INSULATED AND PROTECTED AGAINST SPLASHES OF WATER.
N.B.: Apply and always make sure that the safety rules are observed; should doubts arise refer to this manual before acting.
THE MACHINE MUST BE USED ONLY ONLY FOR THE DESIGNATED PURPOSE AND AS ESTABLISHED BY CONTRACT WITH SCAIOLA.
Do not use the machine for any other uses than those indicated in this manual.
CORRECT USE OF THE SYSTEM
The machines are refrigerating showcases for the conservation and refrigeration of perishable foodstuffs at ambient temperature with a maxi-
mum load on the plate glass shelves of 20 kg.
The showcases must not be used for other types of work without the express authorization or any necessary structural modications
by SCAIOLA S.r.l.
DO NOT:
• replace parts with non-genuine spare parts • modify the electrical connections;
• remove or modify the guards;
• use the machine in places with an aggressive atmosphere.
RESIDUAL RISKS
• The risk of an excessive load on the plate glass shelf. The user must know that the maximum load that can be placed on the
plate glass is 20 kg. This risk is resolved by placing an adhesive label on the central column with the writing 20 kg max.
• The risk due to gas emissions. The gas is not harmful for health.
