USING THE REAR-MOUNTED WANDER BOOM
The rear-mounted wander boom arrangement is permanently fitted and,
when required, can be used while sweeping. The weight of the hose/
nozzle is supported by a gas strut attached to the boom assembly. The
system incorporates a manually operated blanking flap.
For situations requiring maximum suction power, such as when clearing gully
pots, blank off the suction nozzles (See Para. 1.).
1. Deselect any active suction nozzle(s). This will close their
nozzle blanking flap(s). The switch LED will extinguish.
2. Demount t
he hose assembly from its stowage as detailed at
Fig. 6 and swing-out the entire assembly t
o the required position.
3. Open the
blanking flap. The wander boom is now ready for use.
