All points with bearings, under the car, on the CW and at the drive, must be
checked for oil losses.
2 Polluted pulleys and traction shafts can be cleaned with DBE® (dibasic esters).
Beware the suspension traction media from being polluted with oil or grease.
3 If necessary clean the STM with a dry or damp cloth. Only use clean water for
STM cleaning. Do not use white spirit or acetone.

Check if the tension of all STMs is approximately equal.
The STM tension can be measured by pressing a hand or thumb onto the
STM.
2 If necessary, adjust the STM tension:
Schindler 3100/3300/6300: at the car suspension point by screwing in or
out the hex nut and counter nut on the STM connection assembly.
3 After adjustment, travel five meters down the hoistway and check the STM
tension again.
4 Repeat this procedure until the tension of all STM is approximately equal.

Position the car at the top floor.
2 Activate the pit stop switch JHSG.
3 Check the distance A between the counterweight and the buffer to be 40–
80 mm.
4 Remove one or two distance blocks if the distance A is less than 40 mm.
Deposit the removed distance block(s) in the hoistway (for future re-use).
5 Check that the distance A is now 40–80 mm.
