6.4 Vacuum generator operation
6.4.1 Vacuum blower
To switch on the vacuum blower, the motor-protection switch has to be switched on. The vacuum
blower starts up.
If using with the optional radio remote control SRC, the vacuum blower can also be controlled via the
operator handle when the motor-protection switch is switched on
(for more information, see 6.9.7).
6.4.2 Ejector
Risk from the tube lifter uncontrollably jolting upward
This can result in serious injury.
Before switching on the vacuum generation, the control handle/operator
handle of the Jumbo Ergo/Sprint must be moved to the “lower” position.
WARNING
Compressed air is supplied to the ejector SEM via the compressed
air connection. The rotary union attaches the lift tube to the
vacuum connection. Outlet air is discharged via the silencer on the
outlet side.
The diagram opposite shows compressed air being turned off on
SEM 300 (here with vacuum generation switched off).
Compressed air is turned on or off through the 1.2 m long
activation cable attached to the side of the ejector.
To switch on the ejector, pull the black ball down. To switch on the
ejector, pull the red ball down.
