7 Maintenance
This unit should only be installed and maintained by qualified specialist personnel
(mechanics and electricians). Work on electrical equipment may only be carried
out by qualified electricians.
The vacuum pump and linear actuator may not be opened during the
warranty period. If opened, this invalidates the warranty.
Use cold cleaner (not benzine or corrosive liquids. This causes leaks or irreparable
damage to the vacuum hoses) to clean the device.
After repair and maintenance work, always check safety equipment as set out in
chapter on "Safety".
Some components on the lifting device are still live after the device switch is
pressed!
When working on electrical components of the lifting device, it must be
disconnected completely from the power supply using the upstream disconnector
or maintenance switch!
7.2 Maintenance schedule
Check safety equipment:
- Manometer OK?
- Does warning device emit signal at correct partial vacuum /
excess pressure?
Electrical vacuum generator: maintain slide and filter of pump
as described in the operating instructions
See pump operating instructions
Is the electrical installation OK? Cable screw connections
secure?
Are the vacuum hoses in good condition (not brittle, not
kinked, no worn sections, i.e. not leaking)?
Are all connections secure, hose clamps etc.?
Are rating plate and ultimate load plate still attached to the
device?
Is the operating manual still available and are workers
familiar with it?
Check all load-bearing parts (e.g. suspension) for deformation,
wear or other damage.
Clean suction plates. Check for cracks, evenness of suction
lip, replace if necessary.
Has the test label been updated?
General condition of the device
