10. Stabilize engine at approximately 1400 rpm.
CAU TION
Shut down engine if min i mum oil pres sure is not
reached within 30 sec onds after engine starts.
11. Observe oil pressure gage for minimum oil pressure 25 psig.

Set alternator switch in ON position ON
4-5. ENGINE STARTING PROCEDURE - HOT/FLOODED
CONDITIONS
A. Helicopters with carbureted engine (HO-360-C1A).
1. Hot engine; prime may not be required.
Proceed with normal starting sequence.
2. Flooded engine:
a. Throttle FULL OPEN
b. Magnetos OFF
c. Starter ENGAGE (3 SEC)
3. After clearing engine, close throttle.
4. Proceed with normal starting sequence.
B. Helicopters with fuel injected engine (HIO-360-G1A).
1. Hot engine; a short prime may be required. Proceed with
normal starting sequence.
NOTE
: If en gine fails to start af ter 2 to 3 rev o lu tions,
slowly move mix ture con trol to FULL RICH while
con tin u ing to crank en gine.
2. Flooded engine; throttle fully OPEN, magneto switch in OFF
position, fuel boost pump switch in OFF position, press starter
button, crank engine 3 seconds.
