3.2 Electrical set up of the UMS
Note: A small number of microscopes need alternative instructions for
mounting the Z-focus module. If these instructions do not suit your
microscope – contact Scientifica for help.
4.0 Operation Guide
4.1 Powering up the system
Once all positioning and cable connections are complete you are ready to switch on your
UMS/XY Stage system.
Power on the system using the on/off switch on the front of the 1U rack controller.
4.2 Operating the UMS
For operation of the UMS/XY Stage using a User Interface Controller, such as the Control
Cube or PatchPad Display, please see the relevant user manual.
For operation of the UMS/XY Stage using the LinLab software, as well as configuration
options available please see the LinLab user manual.
5.0 Maintenance
The UMS/SliceScope XY stage must be used with the waterproof membrane
installed to minimise the effect of solution spills. If not used with the protective
membrane the product warranty will be invalidated.
