4.7.1 Clean the cooling system
The cooling system must be cleaned every 2,000 hours or 2
years (whichever comes first) to ensure coolant cooling and
anti-corrosion effect. If coolant is filtered and checked periodically,
coolant must be replaced and the cooling system must be
cleaned every two years; otherwise, the replacement and
cleaning period must be shortened appropriately. Cleaning steps
of the cooling system is as follows:
Discharge the coolant
Warning: The coolant filler cap on the radiator must be removed only after the coolant temperature is
lower than 50C; otherwise, hot coolant spray will result in serious injury accidents.
Open the drain valves on the radiator and the engine water
pump, and discharge the coolant in the cooling system. For
most engine applications, the coolant volume in the system is
about 25-30 L.
Check whether the hose(s) has been damaged and the clamp(s)
loosened or damaged, and replace them if necessary. Check if
there exists leakage, damage and dust deposit. Clean and
repair them if necessary.
