There is a big difference in sulfur content between different types of fuel. To ensure that the engine runs properly and
meets emission regulations, a fuel with proper sulfur content shall be used according. Refer to the table below for right
type of fuel for the engine.

2.5.2 Lube oil
SDEC-designated special lubricating oil for D series diesel engine or oil of grade CH-4 and above is required for the
SC9DF diesel engine in order to ensure its normal operation and long service life and improve its emissions. If the
above engine oil is not available, oil of CH-4 grade or above meeting the requirements of American Petroleum
Institute (API) can serve as an alternative. Relationship between oil viscosity grades and applicable ambient
temperatures is as follows (see SAE standards):
