the operation.
4 Call Bar: This service can set restrictions for
making or answering calls. This function,
however, needs network support. For details,
consult your network service provider. To
enable call barring, you need to enter a
password.
You can set call barring options on menus,
including All Outgoing Calls, International
Calls, International Except Home, All
Incoming Calls, and Incoming When
Roaming.
You can also select Cancel All to cancel all
restrictions for voice calls, or select Change
Barring Password to set the password for call
barring.
5 Anonymous: You can apply for the Calling
Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) service
from the network service provider if you do not
want to display your phone number to the
called party. Select Activate to conceal your
phone number, or select Deactivate to display
it.
6 Network Selection: This menu is used for
selecting the network. You can choose
automatic selection or manual selection. The
selection state is displayed in the status bar, for
details see description of the icons. The active
network will displayed on the idle screen
Automatic: The handheld automatically selects
and registers with an available network.
Manual: The handheld selects a list of
available networks in the current area. You can
select a desired network, and press to
confirm and exit, or press to exit.
Preferred: Lists the names of GSMR networks
in your SIM card.
Note: Automatic selection is recommended.
You can manually select a network only when
the network enters an effective roaming
agreement with your home network provider. If
the network service changes, normal
operations of the handheld are affected.
